Short Story

After having my breakfast, I left home and arrived at work on time: 8am. I´ve got there by subway and bus. My colleague Barbara was late. She called me at 8:15am to ask me a favor: to warn our manager, Mr. Barnes, that she would arrive about 8:30. I asked her why would she arrive so late, and she answered: I woke up late this morning, but don´t tell this to Mr. Barnes, please. Then I told her: hurry up!
